This work is made to fit into a home setting. I like the idea of living with my art work because you see it every day; in some cases you use it to keep things in or to eat out of. I want these pieces to be art on a human scale. Their real value is determined by how you interact with them. Their meaning is connected to your daily routine.

Most of the work on this page is available for purchase in my ETSY store. Some of them have already been sold. I add new work to my store fairly often so be sure and check in from time to time and see what's new.

I got a bit obsessed with this tall narrow shape for a little while. I sometimes play with small variations on a form until I find the version of it that I like the best.

One of the fun things about living with functional art is that over time you begin to notice and appreciate new details that you may not have seen before.

I like it when a piece demands that you look close, or touch it to appreciate all of its qualities. Touch is an under used part of appreciating art.

Wood always rewards you for looking closer. The kinds of wood that I love are those that have complex and vibrant grain.
